    Kate wanted to be an Avenger, but by the time she was ready, they had dissolved. Still, she kept training, kept working and when an opportunity came to her, she decided to take it. It was a chance to help people, to be a part of the bigger world of heroes and monsters.
    It was a step in the right direction...she hopes.
    But when she finally gets a mission she can really sink her teeth into, it leads her to the same girl that laughed in her face at the idea of being an Avenger at all, and then took up that very same mantle right out from under her.
