Summary
Sergio longs to get more out of him. It’s addictive. He likes challenges, who can blame him? So Sergio humours himself, specifically seeking him out during celebrations, and then when Luka’s warmed up to him, during normal, mundane moments too, pressing kisses to his cheeks under the guise of greetings, silently enjoying the way Luka’s started tilting his face towards the defender like he’s grown to expect it. It’s not lost on him that he should probably care more about sounding like a creep, but it’s hard because Luka sometimes tucks his hair behind his ear in that shy way he does and tilts his head to look up at Sergio from that angle he does and reaches his arms up to him in that coy manner when they’re about to hug and. He can’t help but pull Luka into his arms, hands burying into his hair.
And so, to cut a long fucking story short and to put it very, very lightly, Luka Modric distracts the hell out of Sergio Ramos.
Or: Five times Luka and Sergio find themselves noticing their differences in size, and the one time they finally allow themselves to do something about it.

The more they talked about him like this, the less amusing the challenge became, particularly after Marcelo’s story about the alpha who had apparently been unable to understand when he was unwanted. “Choose somebody else. If he already spends half his time getting rid of people who won’t leave him alone, I’m not going over there just to become another one.”
Marcelo groaned and leaned back in his chair. “Come on, Sergio. You’re acting like we’re asking you to stalk him. You talk to him, see if he’s interested, and if he’s not, then that’s it.”
“Five minutes ago, you were telling me I had to make him date me.”
“Well, obviously you have to try.”
“I can try with someone else.”
Marcelo studied him for a second, and Sergio immediately recognized the direction his thoughts were taking. “So you are worried he’ll reject you.”
Sergio gave him a flat look. “I’m worried you’re going to become unbearable if I let you keep talking.”
