Luo Binghe unfolds the letter with trembling hands.
Luo-gongzi, the letter begins. I do not know if your martial uncles on An Ding have explained matters to you; but in case they have not, this master is the patron assigned to you through An Ding Peak’s sponsorship scheme. I am Shen Yuan, a cultivator nearly one-and-thirty years of age; and I am writing from Shuizhai, a little country town on the outskirts of Luoyang, where I run a cultivation academy for children between three and thirteen.
There is a great deal more, but Luo Binghe can hardly make out the rest through his tears.
Somewhere in Shuizhai, there is a man he has never met; and he already seems to care for Luo Binghe as no one has done since his mother passed away.
In which Shen Yuan teaches cultivation elementary school, and Luo Binghe falls in love across the miles that lie between them.

"What do you mean?" The question sends a flash of exasperation through Lan Zhan's eyes, and she gives her a slight snarl.
"Wei Ying."
She can tell something's wrong, but her brain is still fighting to organize itself, so instead of internalizing the earlier question, all she can focus on is Lan Zhan's face.
"Aiya, Lan Zhan, don't be mad," She reaches out, smoothing the wrinkles in Lan Zhan's forehead before her fingers drop to graze her lips. "You're so pretty when you're mad, but don't be mad at me, hm? Hate it when you're mad at me."
There's a moment of silence between them, where Wei Ying can only hear the muffled lyrics of the song from inside and people chatting far away on the street, before Lan Zhan's lips crash into hers.
— Wei Ying gets dumped by her boyfriend and decides her remedy of choice will be a night out with her girls. It turns into much more than that.

Summary
Shen Qingqiu is having a very normal and pleasant private meeting with Yue Qingyuan, when things veer sharply off course like a car jackknifing on a precarious icy road.
“Qingqiu-shidi looks a little tired,” Yue Qingyuan says fussily, which is not where things go strange. He’s always fussing, just like a protective older brother. Business as usual, really! “Are you sure you’re sleeping well?”
“Yes, yes,” Shen Qingqiu says, waving him off dismissively. “This master has been sleeping perfectly well, Zhangmen-shixiong should not worry himself.”
“Mu-shidi could be consulted for any pills or powders that might help with soothing sleep,” Yue Qingyuan gently persists. “Or perhaps your bed is too hard? It can be replaced.”
“I’m perfectly capable of replacing my bed if I need to. It isn’t necessary.”
“Or perhaps Qingqiu-shidi isn’t getting fucked hard enough?”
… What?

Summary
I went to write a spicy ushioi for a friend and I wound up knocking out 10k words of something kind of sweet and kind of smutty. The whole story is very indulgent. And it's sort of canon-compliant if you squint.
At age 35, Oikawa and Ushijima are both feeling a little lost in their post-volleyball lives. They have similar, but different, coping mechanisms.
