    “Did your old man do that?” The question startled Dennis, cutting through the loud chatter of the crowded bar. 

    It took a moment for Dennis to realize who was speaking, blinking through his swollen black eye as he tried to make out the man who stood next to him. He looked as old as all the rest, with a cigarette dangling from his lips.  

    “He’s not my dad.” Dennis sniped, staring sullenly at the table in front of him.

    “Your boyfriend?” The man's kind brown eyes never left him as he took a sip of beer, watching him carefully from over top of the glass. 

    Runaway Dennis falls into a bad situation and Robby moves heaven and earth to save him.

Realizing someone has broken into the apartment, Dennis panics but forces himself to stay quiet. He locks the laundry room door, hides inside the small linen closet, and calls 911 in a whisper while the intruders search the apartment.
