Summary
There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.

Summary
He tried very hard not to lean away when Mike leaned in. Why were they sitting like this, completely pressed together from shoulder to knee? Their entire sides were touching, and the strange contact was enough to sufficiently distract him. Especially when Mike laid a hand on his thigh, what the fuck.
“Hey," Mike whispered, lips almost brushing his ear. “You okay? You seem… not yourself." Yeah, no shit! Because he was Lucas, not Will!

Mike asks, fully aware that he should probably just quit while he's ahead but needing to know, suddenly, if Will has any sort of romantic entanglements that he's neglected to tell Mike about. He's not sure why, but there's something in his gut that demands to know, has some sort of sudden need to know if Will has kissed anyone that's not him.

“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Will blinks again. Their noses bump. Mike is so close. “I, um. What?” he hisses out, voice hoarse. It can’t be- there’s no way Mike means-
Mike looks mortified, but he’s also not moving away. “Do you think there's a universe,” he repeats, slow and shaky, “where you and I are- you know.”
“Mike,” Will says, verging on exasperated, but too shaky to fully accomplish the tone he’s going for. He can feel Mike’s heart racing where it’s pressed against his own. “Use your words.”
“I want to kiss you,” Mike blurts, dazed and harried. A strand of hair falls into his eyes, and it tickles Will’s cheek with their proximity.
