What really happened on that "one lonely night" that Scully invited Mulder to her bed. Sometime in season 7, before All Things.

An imagining of Mulder’s response on that “one lonely night” when Scully invited him to her bed (allegedly). His racing thoughts on the journey to her apartment.
*Notes on the Series*
The fics in this series stand alone, but also flow chronologically from each other. I like to think that as a whole they can illustrate interesting aspects of Mulder and Scully's relationship as it progresses. I find the beauty but also the flaws of MSR fascinating and hope that some readers will follow along on this journey of smut and love and angst.All 6 of my current fics (with minor edits) will be placed into this series along with a new one, "Leap". "Leap", a fic about that One Lonely Night was written as a bridge between "Maybe" (which occurs right before) and my All Things/first time fic "Stay". I will continue to add more to the series over time.

Inspired by the Revival scene where Scully asks Mulder how he operates so well with his hands cuffed behind his back and he makes it clear this isn't the first time she's had him restrained.
On their first field assignment since having the sex. Scully is fed up with the patriarchy and Mulder is more than happy to help her smash it, in bed.
This stands alone but continues from my other works, Stay, At Last, and Since When.

Summary
Fox laid on the bed, feeling—something. He couldn’t quite define it. He was fidgety and overly warm, even though he had turned the shitty motel air conditioning on as high as he could crank it. There was a veritable blizzard both outside and pouring out of the noisy machine under the windows, but he was still stripped down to his undershirt. If the windows had been able to open, he would have had them thrown wide, snow be damned. He tried closing his eyes but was immediately back up, pacing uncomfortably around the room. Fox kept having—urges. Thoughts. About things (and people. Okay, maybe just one person) he definitely, definitely shouldn’t be thinking about.
(Or: Mulder and Scully get exposed to a massive dose of pheromones and have to fuck.)
