Summary

A retelling of a who became Shar's Chosen.

“You felt?”
“…Angry…so angry.”
The glazed brown eyes look past hers, as though looking through her. Shadowheart half expects that flash of light to spark from them but it doesn’t, instead Elara continues, her hand lifting up, open palmed, as if reaching for something. Shadowheart moves one hand off the human’s cheek and pulls Elara’s hand upon her own cheek, hoping the familiar feeling will break her away from her mind.
“I was consumed by it…Shadowheart…in a way I’ve never felt before.”
“Consumed? What…what do you mean?”
“It was as though...something was encouraging me to keep going…to get vengeance for all the things he’s done to us…to you.”
