In a reverse of roles Sasuke is too slow to stop Haku's senbon and Naruto "dies" in his arms, unlocking the mangekyou sharingan and a very possessive kind of love within him. Luckily this isn't a problem, as Naruto grows to become just as possessive when Orochimaru attacks the boy he'd given his life for and subsequently tears a hole in the Kyuubi's seal trying to protect him.

Summary
As if suddenly being separated from his sister by the hands of an unknown god wasn't bad enough, fate decides to make life even harder for Aether. Being carted off to a frozen mountain with only the clothes on his back is definitely bordering on the top of the "worst case scenario" list. But maybe it isn't all that bad if it means getting to meet an unfairly pretty alchemist. Now if only this world could stop being stricken by catastrophes so he can actually look for Lumine.
