    Summary

She sinks a little deeper in the water, until it covers her shoulders. Her feet sift through the silty earth at the bottom of the lake. A sigh of relief breaks past her lips. It’s the first time she’s felt anything other than uncomfortably hot since they arrived in the jungle.

“The sooner you come in here and cool off, the sooner we can go back to the house,” she says.

He closes his eyes, purses his lips. He gets the same bracing expression when he’s readying himself for a difficult fight. Aerith holds back a smile. Finally, he gets to his feet and starts unbuckling his belt.

    Summary

Getting out of the Ossuary shouldn’t have been the easiest part. He did not expect the imprisonment to hit him this hard, this deep. Lucanis was used to nightmares, he was a Crow, a trained assassin, they were basically in his job description. It was embarrassing that a little bit of torture and a year lost to time would not leave him alone like this.

He fought hard to ignore the prickling in his fingertips, the way his lungs refused to take in enough air, leading to a sharp pain in his chest. It was all fine. So what if the gallons of water behind the glass threatened to swallow him whole? Not like it was real, Lucanius can get through it. He survived worse.

    Summary

“Cause you could take her flying. Girls love flying.”

He shut down the thought before it could spark something dangerous, erecting barricades. “You love flying,” he corrected. “It’s part of your thing about dragons.”

Louder than before, battering through the tenuous barricade, Spite’s delight seeped through him. Want to! Fly like a dragon! With Rook!

Me after that party banter: So that's a scene, right? RIGHT???

    Fine, I'll do it myself.

    Summary

Xaden Riorson thought he had figured out how to survive in this place. Now in his final year at Basgiath War College, he’s risen to the rank of Wingleader. He is focused on one thing: getting every kid of the rebellion bonded to a dragon. Then the real work can begin.

But he hadn’t counted on Violet Sorrengail, the General’s daughter, entering the Rider’s Quadrant. She’s not supposed to be here and she’s about to throw every plan he has made into chaos. Can he trust her? And more importantly, can he trust himself?

This follows the dialogue and events of Rebecca Yarros’s Fourth Wing, retold from Xaden’s perspective. This was written prior to the release of Iron Flame, so all theories and speculation are my own and unconfirmed. It's my best guess at exploring how Xaden might have felt throughout the story and features new scenes with Liam, Garrick, Imogen, Sgaeyl and Tairn. Major plot spoilers from the very first chapter.

All rights belong to Rebecca Yarros – thank you for building this world and introducing us to these incredible characters!

    Summary

Elain Archeron is not the trembling fawn everyone believes her to be.

Two years after the war, she feels an awakening- a power which calls her to grow untamed things under moonlight. She then receives an invitation to master her abilities as a Seer under the guidance of an Oracle of the Day Court. All the while fighting an inevitable war of passion for a holy mess of a shadow-wreathed male who looks at her with all the longing in the world.

So perhaps a little more softly, a little more lethally, Elain begins her journey down the path unknown. For there’s something blooming within her. Something darker, softer, and wilder than she can name- reaching for the song of the Void.

“Damn the Cauldron.” Azriel strode towards her. “Damn the Stars.” He closed the distance.
“This-” those scarred hands softly gripped her face, bringing it within an inch of his own. “This-” he wrapped his scent around her and met her gaze directly, making sure she could feel the charge, the need, the nameless want-

“This could never be a mistake.”
