She'd dreamed of this moment, of someone related to her finding her, wanting her and taking her out of the system, but she couldn't help but feel incredibly nervous about all of this. growing up around them was a bit intimidating, including all the money that Tony seemed to like showering her with gifts with. but she liked her new family, and they grew close over the years.
Going to the Academy was hard, not living with Tony anymore and not seeing Rhodey, Happy, or Pepper frequently made it even harder to leave, but she wanted to be an agent. She wanted to put her brains and her skills for fighting to good use in any way she could. Finding love was just an odd side effect of that.
