This is just a few ideas about what a “golden age” for the Little Peninsula might include: partly inspired by a Discord WTT prompt.
This takes place long after the events of Return of the Thief. It’s based on the story News from the Palace in the Moira’s Pen collection, but if you haven’t read it, you only need to know that a much older Pheris is appointed as Secretary of the Archives when Baron Orutus retires, and Pheris asks Costis’ son Timris to be his translator and assistant.
I should point out that although no-one actually dies on page it does discuss old age and loss.

What if it had been Garoyo who sacrificed himself, an older warrior with more experience and judgement than Ryo, but one who does not speak darau? And who better than Nikoles to act as interpreter?
