Summary
The Father of the Gods had given rise to many generations of immortals and had seen the unification of the realms by the hand of his fellow Ancient, Dong Hua. With Heaven Kingdom's rule established and peace secured throughout the world, the Father of the Gods had only one regret: the solitary, reclusive life of his eldest son, Mo Yuan, who had been his intended heir.
But, secluded from the world in Kunlun, Mo Yuan would never ascend the throne to become the ruler that Heaven Kingdom truly needed. In that case, there would come a day when the realms would once again descend into chaos and warfare.
So, the Father of the Gods bestowed a gift on his son: the gift of another life.

I am making no profit, and am using these purely for entertainment. This is my first attempt at a Mo Yuan/Bai Qian romance (thank you, Si Ming). Naturally, it also includes a Dong Hua/Fengjiu romance.

Summary
Sad reflections on the centuries that Dijun and Fengjiu spent apart after their failed wedding. Fengjiu has disappeared into the mortal realm, where she gives birth to their son, Gun Gun, and struggles to raise an immortal child in an environment that is ill-suited to his magical heritage. There are bittersweet moments as Fengjiu bonds with her precious child even as she lies to him about why they are fairies living as vagabonds in the mortal realm, suppressing their true nature and wandering from one home to the next. But for Dijun, there are only painful, empty days upon days upon days of loss without his beloved Xiao Bai. Alone with his regrets in the face of a crisis that may be his doom, Dijun withers to a shell of the revered Emperor.
Author's Note: Yep. This will be very sad and angsty before DJ and FJ eventually find their way to a happy ending. There are some episodes of the series that I avoid watching too often because I can't take it. Ep. 54 and 55, when our favorite couple are estranged, are high on the list. But Si Ming sent me this, so....
