Dunk dreamed of being a knight and also meeting his two soulmates. Unable to read the names on his skin, Dunk could only hope to meet by chance and for a happy ending sung in songs and stories as the dragons slowly close in.

Second wife of the Anvil, his sons having been too unsettled to marry her too. So she marries a man who has six children already, a man grown, a man made, fifteen years older than she. He tells her on their wedding night: there will be no more children, there will be no foolishness and childhood fantasy of what lies between them. It was duty that bound them.
For it, she would have wealth, only be expected to help raise the last three of his children, and they could live their separate lives. It is a…strange existence from the life Septas tell girls they will live. But not cruel. There are worse fates to face.
