“Say, I've been wonderin’” Harley quirks as Floyd turns back to face her, leaning on the counter of their little kitchenette. She rolls over and props her chin up on the side of the couch, looking at Floyd with mild curiosity.
“Yeah? What’ve you been wondering this time, sweetheart?” It could be anything. Sometimes she asks him about his past, or his daughter, and other times it’s questions like ‘is water wet’ and ‘do fish fall in love’. He can’t ever be quite sure what he’s going to get with her, but in these quiet moments, it’s more endearing than anything. On the battlefield is a different story, but hey, can’t win them all.

He looks at the profile of this stranger, taking in his nice geeky smile, cool eyes, and nervous trembling in his brows, which you probably wouldn’t be able to catch unless you were looking for it. There's something so familiar about his mannerisms, Richie could’ve sworn he had seen him before. Nevertheless, the unnamed nurse is unarguably cute; Holly had read his mind.
“His name is Eddie. I dunno much about him but I wouldn’t go for him. He’s jittery." Holly shrugs as she goes back to focusing on Richie’s ailment.
“Eddie…” Richie whispers. Rolling her eyes, Holly says, “Your temperature is fine, open your mouth." She pulls Richie’s chin down to peer inside.
He couldn’t pull his eyes from that intern. Whatever it is, something makes him feel… almost at home. Like something nostalgic, but he can’t put a finger on it. Richie struggles with his memories; they were blurry, which isn’t a surprise. He has probably had his head bashed a few five times too many.
