Summary
Laurent is having a quarter-life crisis, so Auguste suggests he go on someone else’s honeymoon. While there, Laurent discovers he’s been having the wrong quarter-life crisis altogether.

Laurent’s eyes widen in instant suspicion. “Oh my god. Please tell me this isn’t you staging some elaborate meet-cute so I’ll go out with your friend. I am not above fratricide.”
The surprise on Auguste’s face doesn’t look faked. “You and Damen? No. No.” He looks at Laurent and shakes his head. “No. No, that would definitely be…no. No.”
At this point, Laurent is wondering if he should be insulted by the excessive number of noes the idea has elicited. “You better not be implying that I’m not good enough for your loser friend who was just jilted.”

“I’m only staying as long as this drink,” Laurent declares. “So, let’s figure out who you’re going to fuck tonight.”
Damen nearly spits out his first sip of mocktail-turned-cocktail, feeling a sudden urge to clutch his metaphorical pearls. “Laurent!”
“What?” Laurent says, face impassive. “If you can’t say it, you probably shouldn’t be doing it. And we know you do it a lot. Besides, isn’t that what you came for?”

Modern AU in which Damen assumes Auguste’s little brother is completely indifferent to him, until Laurent slowly takes control of Damen’s sex life and it’s all Damen never knew he needed.
Warning-wise, expect Damen to have sex with men and women who are not Laurent, mostly offscreen, unless Laurent is watching.
Also, I tried to make Damen text like a contemporary young person, but I am a Gen-X texter, who always uses capitalization and punctuation and typically full sentences, so I don’t think I was very successful.
