"...The weirder thing about this forest, is Wilbur is half, convinced it likes him or something. He’s well aware of magic, seeing that he’s met several fae and magical things on his journey around the world. So, this forest must be magic, or protected by some deity or fae. Because for some reason, everything is brighter when he’s around. His crops grow unnaturally fast, no blight in any season. He feels flowers curl around his ankles lovingly when he sings in the deep forest. He even swears trees protect him, for when he almost fell off a high branch, he landed comfortably on a bushy leafy arm of one.
He’s not complaining, because he’s grateful for whatever god, fae, or thing that deems him worthy to be here.
Things begin to get weirder when his house is overrun with animals. Well, overrun isn’t accurate. It’s a total of two to be exact. They don’t come at the same time. But they do come frequent enough he’s starting to wonder what is going on."
