Izuku's image of heroes is shattered. He's disillusioned. But instead of getting bitter, he's just...tired.
He'd just like to stop thinking about it. Maybe it's better, to lock himself away where he is safe from the biting teeth of the outside world.There's a strange boy he keeps meeting on rooftops.
Izuku thinks that they should really stop meeting like this.
(Even after all this, Izuku handles people kindly, careful hands cradling their potential between his palms. His touch is soft where no one else's is.)

“Bakugo, you need to update your costume.” Kirishima said, “There’s this one dude in the support class- he’s got a literal waiting list, that’s how good he is- but he did my new upgrade."
“Yeah,” Bakugo sighs and leans back on his hands, staring at the bracer. “I know. I’ll go,” his mouth twists a little. “I’ll go tomorrow. This is just- this is my design you know?” he’s not explaining himself very well, and refuses to look at Kirishima.
“It can be hard to give up your first hero design, and you did a great job,” Kirishima said. “You definitely had the best one out of all of us when we first got our costumes."
Bakugo hunched his shoulders. “I didn’t design it,” he grumbled.

Summary
The tunnel shakes around them again, more violently and causing even more dust to rain down like a sheet, but Kacchan's eyes never leave Izuku's face. Izuku's own eyes follow the movement of the flecks lazily, watching as it falls on Kacchans head and shoulders. 'Like snow', he thinks blearily. He reaches out with one hand and drops it on top of Katsuki’s hair, now gray with the particles. “I’m glad…” He blinks languidly as his focus flickers. He wants to keep Katsuki in his sights as long as possible. He smiles, despite the tears still streaking down his face. “I’m glad I got to see you with your hair gray.” Kacchan scoffs and looks away.
