Summary
Silence floods the apartment, heavier now that it’s unshared. Ryusei lies there a moment longer, staring up at the ceiling, listening to Sae’s footsteps fade down the hall until they disappear completely. Only then does he exhale, slow and measured, like he’s letting something drain out of him. He pushes himself up and pads toward the balcony.
The night air bites at his skin and the city sprawls below, lights blinking without care or curiosity. Ryusei picks up the cigarette and It’s still warm from Sae's fingers earlier.

Summary
Days and weeks passed by, though nothing but thick and uncomfortable silence swayed the organization. Sae was drowned in stifling work, sifting through reports mindlessly. However, all of that changed in a heartbeat, when the unmistakable sound of knocking startled everyone in the room.
It wasn’t that often that a mafia got unannounced visitors.

Sae never messed up, not even once. Whether that was during missions or even a simple errand. One day, his statue of cold, indifferent perfection comes shattering down when a small crack is exploited and wedged open. It’s Shidou, the star at the center of the crumbling mess.
