Summary
Musical tutoring paid off as Sunny began to move on time with the slow beat, keeping Basil close to him. Far too big shoes and tiny legs made it difficult to be anything close to graceful, but neither of them minded. When they’d trip, or when Basil would step on the empty toe of Sunny’s shoe and slip up, they’d just giggle to each other with rosy red cheeks.
“Sunny…” Basil’s face was glowing in the moonlight. It was dark, but Basil had never looked more like starlight. “I’m really, really glad that I met you.”
Sunny wanted to say something. He wanted to speak so bad, to say that Basil was the best thing that ever happened to him, but he couldn’t; the words just wouldn’t come out. How could he let him know? How could he know for sure that Basil knew just how irreplaceable he was?
It came to him without second thought.

As Sunny’s about to walk away he approaches the dusty piano, dragging his fingers across the dusty keys and coughing as mild sounds are emitted from the instrument. Mari would be so disappointed her beloved piano was left like this. Hesitantly, Sunny presses down on a key and the loud sound hurts his ears.
Mari had always had hands fit for piano, built as if it was her purpose. Sunny exits the room and stares at the front door. Against his better knowledge, he approaches the door and reaches for the knob.
