The Watchtower ignored bogus messages for help from Paris for two years before they finally stopped. One year later, an unknown villain aims a missile at New York and two children with godlike powers appear to help save the day before vanishing again.
Well, suddenly the JL was taking a closer look at those SOSs.
But by the time the watchtower reached out to the Miraculous Court, they are not welcome in Paris. Not welcome, but needed. Things aren't adding up in Paris, and Batman will be damned if he's just going to sit back and watch the action.

Lies. Vicious, horrible lies.
He woke up instead to a panicking teenage girl. He could tell she was supposed to be a chosen. She just wasn't supposed to be HIS.
Someone had clearly made a mistake.
But somehow, he was going to work with this. And he would certainly have fun trying.
