Summary
In the longer history of architecture and the arts, there was always some distance to bridge between an idea and its manifestation. In the shorter history, Ludwig Beilschmidt wasn't sure if hiring an old friend would cause more problems than it solved, or solve more problems than he'd been aware of—but if nothing else, it would certainly keep things interesting. (SwissAus but it’s 2011, and it’s a very small world in the very big city.)

Summary
Marcille makes an impossible choice as she stays behind alone in the dungeon while she pushes the rest of her friends to the surface.
She stews in feelings of guilt and regret while searching for a way to bring back Falin Touden, the woman she cares so deeply for, that results in a spur of the moment decision to unfreeze Falin.
She knows that things will be different but she hopes that the Falin she knows will still be in there. She is but what Marcille didn’t account for is that Falin’s natural instincts might heighten the ways she displays affection for Marcille and make things quite different.
