The problem with adoption, in Hitoshi's opinion, is that it takes time. Which means - Present Mic and Eraserhead could still change their minds and give him back. So until the judge declares him adopted, he needs to be on his best behaviour!
The problem is he's meeting Present Mic's parents and if they don't like him - they might tell Mic to give him back! He really needs to make a good impression!(Meanwhile the Yamadas are excited to finally meet their beloved grandson. No they haven't met Hitoshi yet, yes they love him already - this might be their only shot at being grandparents and they're going to make the most of it!)
