Summary
Peter feels like a ghost. More than he did when nobody remembered him, because that was RIGHT, that was how it was supposed to be - Peter Parker was gone then, no longer connected to this world. Michelle smiles back at him, the turmoil that was bubbling through his core relegated for a moment to a well-concealed flicker in his eyes. Now having returned from self-exile, when he should be confined to oblivion, he’s a specter - haunting a realm he should have no business inhabiting.

Peter struggles with self-destructive tendencies in a world that he's come to believe needs Spider-Man but not Peter Parker.

Summary
Michelle has never been the type to remember her dreams. That hasn’t changed, exactly - but lately they’ve been stronger, more jarring. It began suddenly months ago, the night after what had been an otherwise very ordinary day of working at the shop and doing some excited planning for MIT with Ned. It was the first time she realized - or least admitted out loud, after being asked directly - that was excited about getting in.
But the dreams weren’t about MIT. She couldn’t really say what they were about - the details evaporated instantly, much to her frustration. But unlike other particularly intense dreams in her past, something would stay with her afterwards, a residue she couldn’t shake. Not an altogether unpleasant one, but a distinct aura with vague textures and nebulous impressions that felt so strong and real and palpable. Comfortable even, if she could hold on to them. But she couldn’t.

It’s days before the release of No Way Home, weeks before the end of the year, so I figure it’s a good time to admit defeat: I’m not going to find a home in a larger work for these random, little Spideychelle snippets anytime soon. So I figured I may as well post ‘em here. Absolutely tooth rotting and silly unconnected fluff that are mainly just bits of dialogue, but maybe it'll sooth your nerves if you're anxious for NWH?

Summary
Peter’s teeth chatter, and with the continuing trickle of snow flurries he can tell himself it’s because of the cold December air and not his own nervousness. His arms are stiff at his side, his fingers balled up and tensed in his pocket as he approaches the shop. Enough snow has accumulated that the ‘u,’ the ‘y’ and the ampersand in the signage of the Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop are just barely visible.

After things go wrong, Peter and MJ try to find their way home to each other.

She does that, sometimes. When Peter's too exhausted from patrolling the entire night, Michelle lets him lie on her lap and runs her fingers through his hair, holding a book with the other hand. She does it almost carelessly. As if it wasn't a big deal at all. As if it meant nothing. It makes Peter feel a weird emptiness inside his chest; an incredible desire to hold her in his arms and never let go. Even though he can't do that.

Peter just wants to know if MJ likes him back. Instead, he ends up meeting Michael Jones and Black Cat, reading minds, talking too much; and honestly, does Doctor Strange have to be so extra all the time?

Maybe her mistake was going to the library. She could have been studying in Peter’s room like she usually does, listening to Ned geek out. But there’s a Teavana near the library and the smell of old books helps her focus.
Maybe it was not paying attention to the news as closely as she should have.
Maybe it was the headphones.
Either way, she’s woefully unprepared when the glass window next to her shatters.

He scrubs a gloved hand over his face and lets out a shuddering sigh. Drops down onto her unmade bed with an air of defeat, then immediately jumps back up like he’s been scalded. “Sorry, I didn’t mean—ugh, sorry, is it okay if I sit here?”
On another night, MJ may have let herself laugh at that. As it is, she can’t help the way her heart balloons in her chest at how god damn, insufferably cute he is—but tonight, it’s just as quickly tamped down by the needling, sharp apprehension in her gut at what he’s probably here to do.
[Or, Peter's got issues. MJ's got 'em too.]
