You’ve lived in this little podunk place for most of your life, so even as Zeke turns onto back roads that lead toward the country, you still know where you are, and you have a good idea of where he’s taking you. Your suspicions are confirmed when he pulls up to the little white church nestled between crop fields. It’s not that you particularly want to be reminded of the concept of God right now, but at least the parking lot is secluded, private. No one else has any reason to come by here this late.
