    Summary

I had a useless academic background and a bow, and got stranded on the wrong side of the Atlantic when the world died. One look at the unexpected Pleasantville in the middle of biter-town wouldn’t do any harm, would it? Except I found a LOT more than I was expecting. A sheriff, a sword-wielding badass, a little old den mother and a man so rednecked he made my hand itch for some pepper spray…if only I’d known how we’d end up.

    Summary

Daryl Dixon scares the hell out of you climbing out of that damn creek. It takes hauling his ass halfway across Georgia and taking a bullet for him to realise that you're not half bad. He slowly starts to come around, despite grumbling about how much he doesn't like your singing, or that you can't use a gun for shit - and don't get him started on that ugly yellow tent of yours. It takes him a while before he starts to see for himself that he's found a best friend for life, and that he doesn't actually mind the colour yellow that much, after all.

Optimistic FMC witha sense of humour and a backbone that grows with Daryl and their relationship. I like the time skips with the canon events or if something has changed the flashback to the change. Ends after Terminus, HEA.

Lavender takes one step forward and – just like the snap of a finger, the blink of an eye, the drop of a pebble – Hogwarts is left behind. There's no jump, no flashes of light, no whirlwinds of disconnected images. Just one little step; behind stood her war and in front stands 1947. "Huh," she says to herself, "didn't see this in the tea leaves."

Chrissy breaks the kiss and her cheeks hold a bright flush. She wipes the side of her mouth when some saliva has collected and smiles wide. “I think I like shotgunning.”

All Eddie can do is nod and stutter out, “Anytime you want.”

A spark in her eyes as she unwraps her legs from his and stands. Eddie misses her weight and his fingers twitch to hold her again.

“Anytime? You’d do that for me?”

Eddie would do just about anything to get her sitting on his lap again.

“Yeah, princess. I’ll do you the favor.”

     -

She has to be careful. The feeling of being in control can get too addicting.

     -

It never crosses Eddie's mind to deny Chrissy anything.

    Summary

Mary Bennet agrees to spend the London season with the newly married Darcys. She discovers that she would still infinitely prefer a book. But hiding in the library at balls and parties is not the solution, as an odd young man keeps turning up there.

“'Miss Bennet', she says. I did not know my Conscience would have such an ordinary name.”

“I am not your conscience, sir,” Mary said, feeling made fun of and annoyed to be shaken out of her reverie for nonsense. “And whimsicality such as this, whilst charming in a child, is not so appealing in a grown man.”

“Wait,” he said. “Do wait. I am so used to speaking in that silly way with silly young women that I quite forgot myself. Please stay and talk a little more.”

(from the prompt "Mary's season in London. Her moralising is a trial to her sisters but in the end she outshines them all.")

super cute quick read. I love when we get to see side characters that were not liked in story become their own main character.
