He missed having Deku’s eyes on him. Always on him - full of admiration, or fear, or some complicated mixture of both. He had spent years pretending he hated it, pretending it didn’t matter, but now? Now it was fucking gone. Deku looked at other people now. At Icy-Hot, at round heeks, at half the class with that same unshakable, stupid warmth, that unwavering trust.
And Bakugou - Bakugou had no right to want it back.
Didn’t deserve it after everything he’d done.
He wished he could go back and undo it - tear the past apart and rebuild it from scratch, be someone different, someone better. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t fix what had already happened, couldn’t erase the way he’d torn into Deku for years, couldn’t take back the bruises, the words, the damage.
Or Midoriya gets swapped with a younger version of himself and Bakugou is forced to confront his past and make amends
