Summary
Patience and Delia (Red and Blue) left each other notes.
Delia left notes for Red in the gurgle of the river, scraped into the bark in Morse code, in the whistle of trees, in the taste of the mint leaves she’d left in the outline of a footprint.
Patience left Blue notes in the hum of an oven, the miniature cogs of a clock, the smell of engine exhausts and the swing of an axe.

Summary
Set mainly from the end of season six into a non-canon imagining of how things transpired after the final Patsy and Delia scene. Will include flashbacks of canon scenes and notions all my own. Mainly worked around the point of view of Delia, but all characters help chug the story along in their own way.

Summary
Patsy Mount could not speak for stones, but she was well acquainted with the damage sticks could do. But even knowing the horrors that they, and presumably stones, could bring, she also knew that words were just as capable of inflicting pain. Of leaving scars.
But there was one phrase that had heralded more pain in Patience Mount’s life than any other. Three little words, that when combined, could instill more cold terror in her than any other words, sticks, or stones could ever hope to muster.
I love you.
--or--
A meditation on the power of words in Patsy Mount's life.
