Ilya pauses, hot dog halfway to his mouth, his eyebrows scrunching up and holding, even as he finishes taking a bite. The confusion sits there the entire time he’s chewing, looking at Shane expectantly. When Shane doesn’t say anything else, he swallows down his mouthful with a swig of beer and smacks his lips obnoxiously.
“Use for what?”
“Sex,” Shane says. He keeps his volume level, resists the urge to drop into a whisper. It feels so wrong to say this sort of stuff with the sunlight on his back. “I want you to use me for sex.”

Summary
Bright moonlight streams in through the window on the far wall, paving the ground before the tall flight of steps leading up to the throne. It leaves the seat shrouded in shadows, as though trying to convey and convince Shen Zechuan of the inescapable fate all the previous emperors suffered: subjected to loneliness as they sit alone in the highest and most coveted position in the world. Da Jing is not Da Zhou after all, and he is neither timorous like Li Jianyun nor callow like Li Jianheng. The only one Shen Zechuan fears is himself, but he knows with certainty that he can always count on Xiao Chiye to be the sheath which holds him back.

Xiao Chiye's voice is breathy, husky and rough, but there is an undeniable amount of contrasting gentleness in the way he wraps his long fingers around Shen Zechuan's slim ankle and presses a chaste kiss to the inside of it.
"A-Ye," Shen Zechuan responds hoarsely, tilting his gaze to meet Xiao Chiye's.
