He knows how this works. He saw thousands upon thousands of mortals living through this. Children burying their parents, soldiers sending their friends on their last journey, wifes crying next to their dying husbands. He has seen it, mortals saying their good byes and farewells. He’s seen it for eons and will see it for at least that much more, he knows how it goes.
But, as the mortals say, seeing it and actually experiencing it are two very different things.

He will work as hard as he can, he will listen to the seniors advices, he will be kind, polite and patient with everyone. He won’t worry too much about his acting, he won’t complain about the long hours and he most definitely won’t grab the arm of the co-lead actor and won’t drag him behind a wall where they can be in private and will not kiss the living daylight out of him.
He won’t because, as even humble Xiao Zhan himself would say it, he is not stupid.
Although he’s starting to doubt he isn’t.
