Hoshiguma cast her gaze downwards, letting out a long, slow sigh.
“...heh. Yeah, this is about as close to quiet as it gets. But we used to say in Higashi, that–”
“A quiet house is a cold home,” the Doctor finished.
“Mm, that’s the one,” Hoshiguma looked pleased, a twinkle in her golden eyes as she squeezed his hand. “Book-smart as always, aren't we?”
The Doctor gave a quiet chuckle at her compliment. He looked down into his glass and gave it a swirl, watching the hanging lights dance in rippling eddies.
In which Hoshiguma carries a tipsy Doctor back to her apartment. The streets of Lungmen are as cold and narrow at night as the hearts of its people are warm and vast. What once went bump in the night can now relax in the comfort of everyday life.

Chilling with the homies! More specifically, just Hoshiguma. That was how the Doctor spent his "Diplomatic Visit" to the L.G.D. and what a better way to do that than horsing around on company time?
