He doesn’t want to talk about it when their gazes turn on him. They make assumptions— is it someone he left behind in the Fire Nation? He looks away when he agrees with them.
Toph brushes past him when they all part ways. She says, “I know you’re lying.”

Summary
"Much like pinpointing the start of a blossoming sunset, recalling the exact instant of falling asleep was always an impossibility, a hazy recollection of approximations that decorated each day’s memories. There was no capturing the moment where dream cascaded upon the doorstep of a mind, no conscious decision that said that now was the time that reality would fade. It was without definition, without any rule."
Malyck joins Trahearne in the Dream; they talk about themselves, their secrets, and the burden they all share: life.

Summary
"See, the thing about Theo is that he’s nice. Genuinely nice, the kind of guy who doesn’t need a calendar to remember people’s birthdays or think twice to lend a hand; the kind of guy who sends all his neighbors baskets of fresh produce when the harvest starts just because, who always has a sympathetic ear and is willing to name any flower or insect Jas or Vincent throw at him, no matter how long his day has been. Not because he wants anything in return, or Yoba forbid, expects it, but because it’s in his nature to do it and he enjoys being a good neighbor. Quite frankly, it fucks with Shane’s head."
Or, Shane longs for the days when he wasn't in love with his boss.

Summary
“Is it true Sylvari do not receive the first words of their soulmate?” her finger dips into the grooves and Canach hisses.
“Don’t do that,” he mutters sullenly, annoyed if used to the feeling of his mark being violated. “Sylvari get names.”He can see the Countess smile as she lays her head on his chest.
“You poor thing.”18/10/2021 edit: THE STORY HAS BEEN REVISED 🥳🥳 here's to hoping it's easier to read than it was before!!

Summary
By the end of the first week, it had become painfully apparent that their new neighbor had absolutely no interest in the valley or its inhabitants. The farmer avoided the town like the plague, going as far as traversing all the way up and around the bus station and through the mountains to avoid walking through the main drag. Any business he had in town was carried out exclusively at JojaMart—though Shane has certainly never seen hide nor hair of him—and any attempts by the townsfolk to ensnare him in conversation were, ultimately, unsuccessful in every sense of the word.
By the end of the first month, any and all excitement has blown over and it’s altogether too easy for Shane to forget about their newest edition to the valley entirely. He’s never seen the man, never spoken to him, and aside from the odd comment or whispered recounting every now and again, nobody even so much as mentions him.
As far as Shane is concerned, the farmer doesn’t exist.
(Until he does)
