    In the split second when Dabi realizes how utterly fucked he is, he thinks about dominoes falling. So many things had to go wrong in a very specific order for him to end up here. Fate or karma or whoever lined up these cosmic dominoes of fuckery to specifically ruin his life, must be laughing their ass off right about now.

    But isn't it a little funny? What are the odds, truly? Nobody else would ever be this unlucky.
    Who else but Dabi would ever be stranded in an empty house, with no quirk, no way to call for help, dosed with sex pollen, and unable to touch himself?

     

    If this is how I die, I'm gonna be so pissed.

    “Japan’s favorite edgy nepo baby,” Hawks greets him, making a gentle landing a little ways down the alley. His wings’ downdraft tosses up bits of stray litter from the ground. “You seem lost. Do you need directions?”

    Dabi turns around. Flames spark at his fingers but don’t ignite. It’s strange to see him hesitate, considering his quirk advantage; Hawks is pretty sure he could win if Dabi decided to attack him, but it’d be a pain in the ass and he’d lose a lot of feathers. If the fire comes out, flight would be wiser than fight.

    “Japan's second-favorite edgy nepo baby,” Dabi corrects him, presumably in deference to Shouto, and—Hawks begs to differ. He said what he said.

    Keigo had pictured many times what their reunion would be like. Though most of the time, he thought they would never see each other again. They both belonged to different worlds in too many ways—from their beginnings to what they had become, it was all upside down. It was all wrong.

    Yet no matter what everyone said (what he himself said), Keigo still pictured them meeting after the war. Maybe then they could talk about what the hell happened between them and have some sort of closure.

    or; Touya is released from prison and Keigo pretends that whatever happened between them ten years ago is a thing of the past. (It is not.)

    Or: When the HPSC signs his death sentence, Hawks offers the League an alliance. What he didn't account for is how compatible he and a certain fiery villain seem to be, nor how much he'd enjoy not being under the Commission's thumb all the time.
