Summary
What if the only way to save the universe is to see your ex-husband after nine years? What if he is your only chance to save the humanity when you both couldn't even save your marriage together?
Eva Stratt and Grace Ryland met when she was doing her PhD and he was an MA student at the same university. An invisible red string brought them together almost twenty years ago and now the same but also very different and very visible red (petrova line) string forced them to get together again.
Are they ready to be around each other again? We will see.

Come on in, come on in, Strattlanders, come in from the bitter, angsty cold. It’s a brutal world out there, filled with beautiful but tragic stories. So much heartbreak, so much loss, so many missed opportunities. But in here, it’s warm! Cozy up by the fire. Here, have a bowl of sour skittles and a colorful, cozy quilted blanket. I sighed, turning around as Stratt approached me from down the hall.
“We must discuss your lodging.”
My shoulders relaxed at the thought of sleep.
“Yes, please. I really don’t need anything nice but I would love to shower and I definitely need to sleep. That’s really the main thing, I would love a bed if that’s-”
“Yes, well, that is the issue.” Stratt cut me off, pinching the bridge of her nose. “We weren't expecting to bring another scientist onto the team and therefore do not have appropriate space to accommodate you. We are able to offer you a bed, but the solution is unfortunately unconventional.”
“Unconventional?” I adjusted my glasses as I braced for whatever insane resolution she was about to propose. Sleep in a military jet? Move into a spare astrophage testing chamber?
“You will be staying with me.” She stated flatly.
