Summary
Peter received his powers only to find he lacked the right spirit to use them. The death of his Uncle solidified that for him. In order to make up for his mistake, he went out as the vigilante "Spiderman." Yet, when he is taken into custody by the Avengers, he finds out he misunderstood what Uncle Ben meant by, "With great power comes great responsibility."
Or: Peter accidentally killed a few criminals, befriends a (somewhat batshit crazy) merc with a mouth, is targeted and imprisoned by the Avengers, and learns how to live again, just not in that specific order.
