Excerpt from Chapter 11: The Snow FallsFrancesca bunches up her dress then pulls it over her head. She lets the still damp fabric fall to the floor beside her. Michaela watches intently as the dress leaves her fingertips.
Francesca is in her underdress now, her bodice still in place. Michaela thinks back to yesterday, when she saw Francesca in such a state of undress.
She remembers what is underneath. She needs what is underneath.
“Enough?” Francesca asks. She relishes the way Michaela is staring at her. The way Michaela looks with both love and hunger— Francesca has never felt so wanted before.
