It's quiet. Kaeya is alone.
His stage for tonight is a lone cliff by the edge of Stormbearer mountains and his audience consists only of the sky, the stars and the moon. Likewise, his trusted sword shall act as his only companion, which he summons forth from glitters of gold.
Two wide swings mark the start of his performance. To the tune of a melody he barely remembers, he steps forward. A dance long lost to time; The very first he ever learnt. He distantly wonders if he remains the last person on Teyvat to remember it.

“Mona, do the fates you read ever change?”
She looked down at her still half filled cup before replying: “No. Fate is called as such, for it cannot be changed. I told you that last time I divined for you.” She had. She had told him so many times before.
“Yes, you have.” Kaeya stared down for a moment as well. “Still, it doesn't hurt to ask. Try the chocolate before you go to sleep. I want to hear your opinion on it the next time we meet.” He gave her one last smile and left.

How long had he been walking? And which way had he come from? He could not believe he had made such a childish mistake. The first thing he should have done was make sure he knew the way back out. He spun around trying to see if he could recognize the tree from earlier, but they all looked the same: lifeless, black and charred.
He was completely alone.
