Summary

“You guys ok?” Wei Wuxian asked, and then scratched his head a bit awkwardly. He had no idea what to do with kids. Or how to talk to them, to be honest. Then he scoffed, “Of course that was a dumbass question - shit - ah well, it’s not like you haven’t heard someone cuss before.”
He visibly slapped a hand over his mouth to keep from putting a boot in it and took a few minutes to calm the fuck down. Then he tried again, “I’m Wei Ying, courtesy name Wuxian. You can call me whatever, it doesn’t matter. Are you guys unharmed?”
The oldest boy - Lan Xichen nodded and then spoke shyly, “We’re not hurt.”
The younger boy - Lan Wangji stayed silent as the grave and looked like he was totally judging Wei Wuxian for all of his life choices, past, present, and future. Jesus, the kid had one hell of a murder scowl that could rival that pissed off demon donkey of his sister’s.
Or the one where crusnik Wei Wuxian ends up finding and rescuing two adorable moon elf children after the Apocalypse, and one just so happens to hate his guts... at first.

“Jiang Cheng…” Wei Wuxian slurs, head fuzzy with drunkenness. He’s lying over a low table by the right of the Lotus Throne in the Sword Hall. Jiang Wanyin is draped over the throne, looking at an unfocused point on the ceiling. “If we could go back and fix all the stupid shit we’ve done in the past, would you?”
Jiang Wanyin snorts, undignified and carefree – things he never thought he would ever allow himself to be again. “Always.” He takes another swig out of the little wine jug and sighs. “Always.” He repeats.
