Summary
The Phantom Thieves have failed. Japan is overrun by blood and bones, while the Thieves have disappeared from the public consciousness, and thus from the world.
When Ren confronts the being in the Velvet Room and restores its true master, he finds that he can no longer return to the world as it is. Instead, he is offered a chance to return to the past, at a point where the cognition of him is stronger. Morgana can even accompany him. However, there’s no guarantee when they will end up.
