Summary
In the world ridden with beasts, monsters, and demons, an alliance of brave monster hunters is the only hope common folk have to be protected against the forces of darkness. Sonic and Tails, a pair of brave hero newbies, are sent to their first, serious mission alongside a somewhat experienced hunter named Knuckles, and must deal with a beast terrorizing Windmill Village.
Things are spun out of control once Sonic is bitten by the beast during an attempted ambush and gets turned into one himself, now balancing dangerously between the world of people and monsters.

Summary
Hunters' Alliance's job was always to exterminate beasts and monsters of the world. To protect the people, so they didn't have to worry about coexisting with these vile creatures side by side. Little did they know, the Alliance had an ace up their sleeve.
Shadow the Hedgehog. The Ultimate Lifeform. The perfect beast.
Shadow was created by the Alliance to complete their goals more effeciently. To hunt down other beasts. To do the tasks the hunters weren't able to complete.
He was aware he was an important asset. The hedgehog had always had a strong sense of justice, to protect people from monster attacks.
His worldview was about to change, though.

He didn't even have to enter. He could do what she expected of him right there and then, without the need of confrontation… Standing before that door, he could already feel the dread of what he’d see after he left. He wished so badly he could see something good for once, a reasonable explanation to why the Miracle refused to grant Mira a gift. But… he hadn’t seen anything good in his visions for what felt like forever.
It wasn’t always like this. Sometimes he’d think back to how it used to be. Of how people praised him for his gift, of how his name wouldn't be a bad omen among the townsfolk.
