Here's how it all started. According to Alya, Nino said that a let's play channel known as Chat Noir mentioned her in a stream. Not her per-say but her brand. Apparently, during a charity stream he said if they got to ten thousand in donations he would honestly answer questions, as long they weren't about his identity. Well, they did get to ten thousand. And one of the questions was what he was wearing at the time. His response was pretty normal, jeans, shirt, and his favorite jacket. In-turn everyone asked why was it his favorite. And he said, “Because it’s a Marinette Dupain-Cheng original.”
Now how would that annoy Marinette? Normally it wouldn't. She would be very happy someone mentioned her designs online. However, the internet took it a different way. His fans found her channel, deemed her “cute”, and have now since been shipping them. One simple comment about a jacket. That’s all it took. And now no one will leave her alone. Chat Noir made the comment last week and her twitter is still blowing up. The comment sections in her videos are still being flooded. And on top of that, Alya still keeps showing her the fanart.

Summary

People keep asking Marinette and Adrien what the “secret” is to playing Ladybug and Chat Noir. Quite separately, they answer that they’re just being themselves. They’re not kidding.
Adrien’s big break and Marinette’s accidental movie audition end up endangering their secret identities. How are they supposed to hide the fact that they are their roles from the whole world and each other?
It’s not unethical for superheroes to play themselves, right?
NOTE: Yes, if you're wondering, this is the fic that was potentially plagiarized by the actual writers in the episode "Frighteningale" (9-27-2018). No, I'm not kidding. This crackfic is now at least partially canon. You're welcome.

All she could see was petals and concrete. All she could feel was a dull ache in her hip and a sharp pain in her knees. Nice going, Marinette.
“Oh god, are you okay?” A hand grasped her arm, a sweet male voice washed over her, seemingly relieving the pain she felt.The person helped her from the ground, supporting her weight completely.
Marinette blushed, her eyes locked on the mess of flowers and her art supplies blocking the sidewalk. “Oh no, I’m going to be late.”
The person laughed, finally drawing her eyes. Marinette nearly choked as her eyes locked on the loveliest color of green she had ever seen. Blond, perfectly styled hair fell into his eyes, his lips were curved into the most perfect and warm smile she had ever seen. She suddenly forgot the reason she was rushing.
“No worries,” he was saying. “I’ll help you.”
