I left the chapter count open for a long time in case I ever felt inspired to tell another chapter of Nicky and Joe's story. I may update again in the future, especially when the sequel comes out, but for now, you can considered this a finished work.

Bond was quick and brutal, gripping Q's dark hair with his free hand and pulling it so hard Q's whole body bent like a taut bow, only his arse and his shoulders now on the mattress. The cold barrel pressed against his throat.

Summary
In truth Bond should have seen it coming. He should have seen how there was only so long he could hide what Q was to him from those he was trying to protect the genius from. He should have realised there was only so long he could go before Q would wonder why he never actually told him directly. Gestures only carried them so far.
As the gun rested in his hands and he rushed into the room to see a battered Q, there were many things he suddenly noticed.
