Summary
A fic based on two cats that I saw one day; the names and what happens throughout the fic are fiction.
One fateful day in a calm neighborhood, a tragedy strikes a pair of cats in love. Said tragedy kills one of the cats, Scratch, and the other, Mingle, then has a barrage of memories and flashbacks of his lover as he runs for the body of his lover in the street. Each memory helps him hold onto whatever remains of Scratch. In the end, Mingle ends up alone, but he is still comforted by his memory and scent at home.
