    Summary

    They say love is timeless. That soulmates are forever. But what happens when you’re with your true love for an eternity?
    You still love each other, sure; you know that you always will. But when there is nothing new to learn, nothing more to do, what then?
    A time comes when you can no longer stand life. But the only way for you to die is at the hands of your soulmate; nothing else will suffice. So you have to kill each other, or else there is no end to your pain.
    And if you refuse... well, the government has its ways.

    Alternatively: “AU where you can only die by your soulmate’s hand (but the thing is it’s really hard to simultaneously get a killing shot so one of them would have to get shot, probably in the stomach, and immediately shoot their soulmate while they wait to bleed out and have to stare at their partner’s dead body)” mixed with a little never-aging stuff so they're all in their 20s appearance wise because I feel like it.
