Summary
They had made a mistake.
Big brother Albedo always said you should fix your mistake and then learn from it. Klee wasn't sure how to fix this mistake.
This was a very bad, no good, terrible mistake.
What had started as a day of simple mischief now led them here, Diona and Klee riding on separate horses, heading to, well, Klee didn’t know. She was scared.
This wasn’t like riding with Kaeya. The arms around her did not grip just tight enough to keep her safely on the saddle.
Nothing about this felt safe. The hands around her were rough and mean. They had snatched her and Diona away, taking them far from their home.
Klee let out a whimpered sob, and the man who held her captive shook her, voice a low growl.
“Shut up, or I’ll give you something to cry about brat.” Klee stifled her tears, a smarting cheek, and head had already proven that this man did not lie.
Klee closed her eyes tight, sniffling back tears as she prayed to Barbatos, just like the nice nuns in the cathedral said they should do when she was troubled.
Please let big brother find us.
Save us from the men in their strange silver, black and red masks, guns in their belts.
