I’ve never been able to actually do monkey bars — there’s something about letting go to grab the next bar that makes my whole body seize up. I let myself swing with my eyes closed, let the world tilt and twirl pleasantly around me as it has all night.
Simon catches up, huffing a bit.
“Stuck?”
I nod, not opening my eyes. He hugs around my thighs, holding me up so that I can do the bars without the risk of falling.
