I’m not gonna call anyone, I promise.” He thinks back to his house, to his bedroom door that he’s left open, and the decision is made. He can sleep on the floor for one goddamn night. “But I’m not gonna walk away either. So you can let me help you up on your feet and walk back to my place, or if you can’t I’m calling an Uber.” He brushes Henry’s hair away from his face and lowers his voice. “I’m so fucking sorry about her.”
He doesn’t need to say the name. Henry knows, and for once, searching Alex’s face, he realizes someone else does, too.
Henry is outed against his will and Mary kicks him out of her house. Alex finds him.
