13-year-old Elmira Petrova-Hirano's life couldn't be better before 2 and a half years ago, when Elmira was orphaned. Right before she turned 11, there was a house fire; it trapped her and her parents upstairs. Her parents protected her, shielding her from the fires with their bodies. Elmira watched hazily as her parents burned. It wasn't until she woke up in the hospital that she found out that her parents took most of the burns, which proved to be fatal. Luckily her brother was at a friend's house at the time. It only got worse; a year later, her brother died, hit by a drunk driver.
With no one left, she shut down. She was quiet, completely shielded off from the world. Elmira's only escapes from the cruel world around her were the hobbies she'd done with her parents and brother. Skateboarding and figure skating; two of the only things she had left of her past.She couldn't have possibly expected what would come in her near future...

Upon being entered into the Tri-Wizard Tournament, Professor Dumbledore has vast concerns for Harry’s safety in following of the Dark Mark that bared at the International Quidditch Tournament. Although allowing Harry to continue to complete within the Tournament, he decides some safe-guards are to be put in place.
Occlumency is a difficult thing to learn, let alone with one of your most hated Professors. Neither trusts the other, making this task exceptionally difficult, especially when intruding on memories Harry hoped no one would come across.
