Lance pokes his cheek, right over the Galra mark. Keith blinks.
“I can’t believe you and your mom have matching face tattoos now,” he says, and it’s so fucking dumb, but it’s exactly the kind of dumb thing Keith has longed to hear, and before he knows what he’s doing he’s surging forward, almost knocking Lance back against Red’s paw, and throwing his arms around him.

“Aren’t you still here though?” and Senku laughed again, amused, because speaking to Gen was stimulating to his mind. “However, did you know that, according to a psychologist called Arthur Aron, intimacy between two strangers can be accelerated by having them ask each other a specific series of personal questions? Some studies have proven that even it’s possible to fall in love”.
“Yeah, I heard about that” Senku answered. “And did you know that according to some studies it only takes 94 minutes to fall in love? There are others that state it takes no more than a few seconds, but that’s ten billion percent fake. The only thing you can feel towards the other person in such a short amount of time is attraction”.

Summary
Gen had no plans when he packed a bag, bought a plane ticket for New York, and ultimately ran away from home in the span of a night, simply functioning off the need to disappear. Needless to say, taking a transcontinental trip across America via train with a science-obsessed stranger was not what he had expected when he decided to abandon his lush lifestyle in Japan. But even then, Gen couldn't help but want to join the eccentric stranger in his journey of chasing the stars. More specifically, he wanted to chase him.
