Their eyes met again after such a long time torn apart, but Mycroft found himself at a loss of words. He wanted to hold Albert safely against his chest, let his finger get lost in those soft curls and feel his love's chest rise with each breath he took. He wanted to caress his cheeks, kiss them softly until they would gain a better shade than the lifeless one they were abhorring. He needed to kiss those full lips until they would get swollen all over again, pink and full and glowing from his touch. He took a step toward his Moriarty, hands twitching against his side, begging to lose themselves on Albert's waist. But instead, in a brief moment of clarity, they stayed well put against him and he spoke, shutting down the more honest part of his brain.
