Summary
Yushi had always been the "stay-in-the-dorm" type of guy. He didn’t really enjoy going out after class. Instead, he preferred quiet nights—reading books, watching movies, or just minding his own business. But tonight was different. He was dragged out by his friends, because apparently, Sion was heartbroken and needed all the support he could get. Along with Sion and Jisung, Yushi found himself reluctantly heading to a noisy club.
Meanwhile, Daeyoung was the complete opposite of Yushi. He lived for nights like this—going out, hitting clubs, and charming anyone who caught his eye. That same night, in that same club, Daeyoung arrived with his friends Jaemin and Haechan, ready to stir up some fun.
They never should’ve crossed paths. But Daeyoung’s friends made a bet. And Yushi? He just happened to be the seventh guy through the door.
Now the most popular guy on campus won’t leave him alone, and Yushi can’t decide what’s worse—slowly falling for Daeyoung, or realizing every word, every smile, every gesture… might only be part of the bet.
They were never supposed to meet like this.
They were never supposed to keep crossing paths.
And feelings? Those were definitely not supposed to happen.Bookmarked by Softwoozi

Summary
'Do you hate Oranges or something?' the younger asked, a tinge of tease in his voice.
Yushi just looked at him with serious eyes. This was no joking matter to him. Daeyoung's soft smile faltered as realization hit him. 'You actually do?'
'Unfortunately.'
Daeyoung chuckled at that, like he didn't believe him. 'How could that be? You're clearly Blue,' he stated, one hand pointing to the wall behind Yushi that was filled with photos of the ocean.
or; au in which people get assigned a color and they have to date its complementary, and yushi happens to hate his.

Summary
For so long, Daeyoung had just existed on the sidelines. His life was the sterile hum of the office at midnight, the dry taste of cold convenience store food, and a quiet, desperate hope that next year, he'd finally start living.
But forty was looming—too close to ignore. So, three months out from his birthday, he wrote a list: ten things he thought were impossible. They were small, almost silly acts of courage, a desperate attempt to fill the gaping hole where happiness used to be.
He never intended for the list to be found. He especially never expected it to be taken on as a sacred quest by Sion—the impossibly charming, younger colleague whose devastating smile and clear eyes saw straight through Daeyoung's weary facade.
In the span of two intense months, Sion systematically dismantled Daeyoung's lonely world, replacing each bullet point with laughter, warmth, and the deliberate, undeniable weight of affection. Now, on the eve of his fortieth birthday, standing on a deck overlooking the ocean with Sion’s hand cupping his cheek, only one item remained. It was the only one that truly mattered: Let someone kiss me.
He was finally ready to stop disappearing. He was ready to be loved.

Summary
Yushi had watched seven sacrifices during his twenty-three years of life—an unusually high number that the village elders whispered meant the god was growing hungry, that something was changing. Seven women who had been marked by the choosing ceremony, their bodies transforming overnight into something softer, something meant to be consumed by the god's appetite.
He never imagined he would be the eighth—and the first man ever chosen.
